March 2011 – Art in the Garden

Art in the Garden is designed to show and to celebrate the range of artistic talent within the Covent Garden community.

This annual exhibition of art by people who live or work in Covent Garden will take place at the Covent Garden Community Centre from 4th March. With paintings, pottery, photographs and music from more than 30 locals, including schoolchildren, a sidewalk artist, our librarian and Russian dancers from the Royal Opera House.

A star of last year’s show, Geoff Mack of Odham’s Walk, will be exhibiting again, as well as local artists Sara Owen, Tom Cook and George Skeggs.  Raymond Yiu, this year’s winner of the BASCA British Composer Award in chamber music will have his work displayed and played.

42 Earlham Street, WC2H 9LA, from 11am – 6pm daily.

Art in the Garden will open with a private view on Thursday, 3rd March 2011.
