About CGCC
The Covent Garden Community Centre is in the heart of Covent Garden providing events, classes, activities and a place to meet.
We have after school club for the 8 to 12 age range during term time and playscheme activities during school holidays. We have activities for older people including yoga, art sessions, book club and a Bridge Club. There is a regular monthly lunch club. The resident seniors club is known as ‘The Livewires’, come and find out about the activities that are available.
Regular activities include yoga, swing dance, jazz evenings, tango Thursdays and comedy nights presented by 7 on Red.
The Shelton and Mercer Rooms are available to be rented by the hour or the day. There is a lower rate for registered charities.
Catering can be arranged for your function and drinks can be bought from the Seven Dials Club – the bar that forms part of the Community Centre.
After 6pm the venue is a members club for the residents, workers or students in the area. The boundaries for membership are either side of the Charing Cross Road, The Strand, Kingsway and Great Russell Street.
The Covent Garden Community Centre can also be used as an exhibition space, we have artists and photographers displaying their work on the walls. Please contact us if you are interested in using the space for your art.
Wi fi is available, just ask at the bar for the log on details. We ask for a small donation to cover costs if you wish to use the wi fi for any length of time.
Covent Garden Community Centre needs your support to enable it to continue. The running costs are high, we encourage all users to become members, to buy teas, coffee, drinks or snacks and to contribute a donation when using the wi fi.
